My neck used to ache after long workdays, but raising my monitor those few inches fixed that pretty much instantly. The aluminum feels sturdy and doesn't wobble even with my heavier screen on top. Simple setup, no complaints at all.
The aluminum finish actually looks nicer than the plastic riser I had before, and my monitor sits at eye level now instead of me hunching over. The 16-inch width fits my keyboard underneath perfectly, which freed up a lot of desk space.
I've been using a stack of old textbooks under my monitor for months, so this was a serious upgrade. The aluminum feels solid and it lifted my screen just enough that my neck doesn't ache by the end of the day.
