The tension-rod assembly snapped together in about ten minutes, and it feels rock-solid under my 24-inch speakers. Honestly, I was skeptical of the floating look, but the locked-in stability has killed any wobble on my hardwood floor.
The tension cables give it that floating look I was after, and it holds my bookshelf speaker rock-solid even when I bump it. Only gripe is the base is a bit heavier than I’d like to move around, but for a fixed setup it’s perfect.
Assembly took me about twenty minutes, but the tension rods feel solid once everything is snug. The 24" height puts my bookshelf speaker right at ear level from my couch, which makes a real difference.
